not so sweet.

i did an adventurous thing the other day. i bought raisins at my town market. when i bought them, i was expecting, well… raisins. i’ve seen them at the market for months but have never been bold enough to make the purchase. i finally put up the dollar and came away with 12 single serving boxes of “sweet seedless california raisins”. i don’t know what’s so california about them, they were produced in malaysia. and yes, each box contains a small ziploc bag filled with about 20 raisins, as if the sweetest, most california-ist raisins were hand selected and sent to cambodia just for me. the dirt, hair, and stems in the bags are an extra little treat, but hey, what can you expect when getting california raisins in a 3rd world country? those little dudes must have surfed a long way to get here.
