Song written and inspired by real life events in which a man (Christopher Daniel Gay) escaped prison not once, not twice, but but three times.  Nicknamed “little houdini” in reference to his small size and unlikely escapes from handcuffs and leg irons, Gay’s first escape was done to visit his dying father. The second time, to see his dying mother. Third time’s the charm, he’s been ‘free’ since March 2009.
